Snippets of Summer

Happy New Year!

I haven't been in this space for several months. I found at the end of the year I just didn't have the time and energy I wanted to be able to invest here properly so I thought I would take a break and take time to think about what exactly it is that I am wanting to do here.
Apart from posting photos to encourage and inspire others with backyard farming or baking etc.. I want this to be a space where I can share how we (try to), create a more simple and less chaotic life as we live in this modern world. I have some ideas of how I would like to share about areas we are trying to be more frugal in and how I am simplifying and decluttering our home to decrease the work load.

This is my space where I want to also share about my faith in Jesus. All that we desire to do with our lives is lead by our faith in Him and our desire to live out our faith in the way we live and care for others. Whether it is doing practical things for people or living simply so we can have more to give out to others in need.

I remember years ago reading a quote by Mother Theresa that said, "Live simply so that others can simply live".

That quote has helped to shape so many decisions over the years.

So much has also been happening in the garden and it has been keeping me very busy. Lots of vegetables growing and weeds too of course! Looking after our hens and outdoor projects and jobs that my husband has been doing over the Christmas and New Year period while having some time off work.

This is a short post but I wanted to get this space going again and so here is just a few photos of part of our backyard, the non 'working' part.

I hope you feel some peace and encouragement today.

I hope you are doing well wherever you are and thanks for visiting!

Blessings, Fiona
